Hello world!

Just set up this blog using WordPress 2.9. The setup went pretty smoothly after I figured out how to connect Filezilla to my host, 1and1.com/. I had to get support to help get the site to load. The file index.html had to be renamed. I either missed this in the instructions, or it was missing. I’ll know now, if I set up additional blogs.
I haven’t set up a different theme. I’m on the default theme.

Ours is also set up on 1and1 and I had some technical issues, too. I guess that’s pretty common with our host, but I still am happy with their services. Glad you got started; I’ll be following your blog!

I’m very pleased with 1and 1. Their default index file takes priority over the WP index and needs to be renamed. After that, it works fine. Did you build a theme for your site or use a stock theme?
